Studio Booking Guidelines

Advance Booking and Payment

All sessions must be booked at least 48 hours in advance via our booking form or WhatsApp. No walk-ins. Our team will respond promptly to confirm availability.

Please note: Bookings are NOT confirmed until full payment is received. Full payment is due at least 24 hours before your session. Unpaid slots will be released.

Payment details will be provided once availability is confirmed.

Punctuality

Please arrive on time; bookings are valid only for the allocated slot.

Over-run sessions will incur additional charges.

3.

Session Preparation

To avoid setup delays, kindly provide a detailed list of your planned activities in the studio, so that we can adequately prepare the session accordingly.

For sessions with Chukku-directed oversight, please send necessary files prior to the session to ensure an efficient set-up and a smooth workflow.

4.

Studio Etiquette

Aya Studios is a DRUG-FREE studio. No drugs are allowed on the premises.

No smoking, eating, or drinking inside any Studio or DJ Room.

Closed water bottles are permitted but must be kept away from equipment.

Please use designated areas for smoking and dining.

Always consult our team before moving any equipment or furniture.

5.

Equipment Use and Responsibility

Please do not unplug cables, change routing, reconfigure set-ups, tune sound systems, or move equipment or furniture without assistance from our team.

If you encounter any technical issues, please inform our team immediately.

You are fully responsible for any damage caused to studio equipment during your session.

Each booking includes only the equipment listed on our website. If you require additional instruments, microphones, or special setup, please inform us in advance. Additional charges may apply.

Recording / Production Studios: You may choose to use our studio computer or bring your own. If using our studio computer, all files must be backed up and removed by the end of your session. We do not provide file storage, and all files are deleted immediately after sessions. For Studio A, B and Master Suite: If you plan to use your own computer, please download and install the UAD software (Software Installer and Console app) before your session.

DJ Room: You are responsible for ensuring your USB drives are correctly formatted and compatible with our DJ equipment. We are not liable for incompatibility or formatting issues. Please do not attempt to adjust or tune the sound system yourself. Audio recording or professional video filming requires the use of our designated recording / filming package. If you use your own recording or filming equipment, the same package rate applies. Casual photos or short videos taken on a personal phone are permitted at no additional cost. Our vinyl collection is part of a private library and may be used at your discretion.

6.

Cancellations and Rebooking

If you are unable to attend your session, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions may be rescheduled within three months, subject to availability. All payments are non-refundable.

7.

Unforeseen Circumstances

In the event of a power outage or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, the remaining session time may be rescheduled. No refunds will be issued.

These guidelines ensure a smooth and productive studio experience for everyone.

Mixing Guidelines

Please listen carefully to all audio files before uploading

  • *All sounds are present in your mix.
  • *There are no glitches or recording errors.
  • *The arrangement is correct.
  • *There are no automation errors.
FILE FORMAT

Stereo WAV or AIF. No mp3 or lossy files.

BIT-DEPTH

16-Bit or 24-Bit

SAMPLE-RATE

44.1k Minimum. Must be the same as your mixing session, do not upsample.

REFERENCES

An effortless way to explain where you're aiming. Wav or Aif files are great, no mp3!

HEADROOM

Leaving on each channel at least -10 dBfs headroom

EFFECTS

Send all effects in separated channels if printed on a channel we won't have control over the amounts. IF your effects or processing are part of the sound we recommend printing it on the channel.

CHECKS

All mixes are carefully checked before Mastering, we'd kindly ask you to do the same. If any issues are found or possible areas for improvement in the mix we'll be in touch.

REMARKS

Our pricing is structured based on a maximum of 25 channels for mixing. Any project exceeding this limit will be subject to additional charges.

Mastering Guidelines

Please listen carefully to all audio files before uploading

  • *Make sure all sounds are present in your mix.
  • *No glitches or recording errors can be heard
  • *The arrangement is correct.
  • *No automation errors.
FILE FORMAT

Stereo WAV or AIF. No mp3 or lossy files.

BIT-DEPTH

32-Bit Float (No Dither) is preferred. 24-Bit (Triangle Dither) is okay.

SAMPLE-RATE

44.1k Minimum. Must be the same as your mixing session, do not upsample.

MASTER-BUS PLUGINS

Master plugin processing on your mix bus is part of your mix. If unsure feel free to send with and without Master Bus processing.

LIMITING & CLIPPING

Light limiting on peaks is acceptable. If you've limited hard, lower this as much as possible without changing your mix. Leave -3 to -5 dB (recommended) Avoid clipping.

HEADROOM

Leaving a few dB (-3 to -5 dB recommended) between your highest peaks and 0dBfs is essential when sending a 24-Bit Mix. This isn't necessary when sending 32-Bit Float.

All mixes are carefully checked before Mastering, we'd kindly ask you to do the same.
