Our Story
Where Music, Art &
Creativity Come Together
Bali, Indonesia
01 — Origins
The Beginning of Our Journey
It started in Hong Kong. Carsten, originally from Germany, and Annabat had both built careers in the corporate fashion world — it was there that they met. Together they brought a rare mix of international experience, creative instinct, and a shared obsession with music. In 2017, they took the leap and opened their first studios in Hong Kong. Three years later, in the middle of a global pandemic, they made an even bolder move — to Bali. They designed and built Aya Studios from the ground up, bringing it to life with their own hands and their own vision. What began as a dream became part of ASA Group alongside Souta Musik and Aimi Publishing — a creative home built on passion, not compromise.
02 — The Space
Not Just a Studio
Most studios are rooms with gear. Aya Studios was always meant to be more. Four fully-equipped production studios — including the Master Suite — plus a dedicated DJ room give artists everything they need to do serious work at any level. And when the session ends, a 25-metre pool, a 300-square-metre garden, and an intimate event space invite you to stay, breathe, and come back to the work refreshed. We built it this way on purpose. The best music happens when artists feel genuinely at home.
03 — Location
Your Creative Haven
We chose this location carefully. Set beside a river, 800 metres from the beach, surrounded by lush tropical greenery — Bali has a way of slowing things down and opening things up that's hard to find anywhere else. Artists arrive from all over the world and often say the same thing: something about this place makes the work feel different. We think that's the whole point. Whatever you come here to create, we're here to help you finish it — at the highest level.
